About the City

Chapell Hill lies on the eastern part of the Tyler metropolitan area and contains a growing population of 594 at the last census. Chapell Hill features many desirable locations that draw in Tyler residents, including The Oil Palace, the largest entertainment venue in Smith County, and Villa Montez, one of the most popular Mexican food restaurants in the area. Because of its location so close to Tyler, many residents commute the short drive into the city for work, but enjoy their relative seclusion in the suburb of Chapell Hill.
